the game board.

A real-world team territory game for the friends you already wanted to see this weekend. Draw cards, run for zones, prove what you did with a photo — then watch the map fill up in your team's color.

Real-world challenges, not spreadsheet tasks.

Draw from your team's deck. Find a stop sign and ask it to stop. Bottle-flip in front of strangers. Put together a Brocki outfit. Every card is a real thing you have to physically go do — with photo or video proof.

02 The board

Your city, painted in your team's colors.

Watch the map fill up in real time. Lock the zones you've claimed to defend them. Steal from the team that's snoozing. The team holding the most territory when time runs out wins — loser buys dinner.

// The honest FAQ

Before you ask.

Is the game really free?+
Yes — free for everyone, including the game organizer. No player ever has to pay, and creating a game costs nothing. The one optional cost is CHF 5 per game — the Game Master pays this to remove banner ads for everyone in the game. Without the upgrade, the game runs with banner ads, but everything else works the same.
How many people do I need?+
At least 4, ideally 6–20, split into 2 or more teams. Bigger groups (up to ~40) work great for offsites. You invite the people directly — Claim Of Zones is a personal game for groups that already know each other, not a platform to meet strangers.
How long does a game take?+
We recommend 4 hours (half-day) to 8 hours (full-day) for the best experience. That said, the organizer sets the duration — so a tight 90-minute neighborhood game works, and so does a multi-day campaign across a region.
Android, web, or both?+
The Android app is the main way to play — it's where you draw cards, take photos, use GPS to claim zones, and run the Game Master tools. The web player exists as a backup or alternative for people without an Android phone. iOS is on the roadmap.
Where can we play?+
Mostly designed for cities, but the organizer draws the map themselves — so you can run a tight game across one neighborhood, a sprawling game across a whole city, or even a multi-day campaign across a region or country.
Do we have to walk or run?+
You decide. The organizer can require players to be physically inside a zone to claim it (GPS-enforced), or run a looser version where photo proof alone is enough. Bikes, scooters, and public transit are all fair game.
What's this about JetLag?+
Claim Of Zones is inspired by the energy of JetLag: The Game — real-world strategy, photo proofs, team chaos. We built the tools so anyone can run their own version with their own friends, in their own city. We're a fan project, not affiliated.
What kind of ads are shown?+
Banner ads only — shown at the bottom of the screen during gameplay. No video ads, no interstitials, no popups. The Game Master can remove ads for everyone in the game with the optional CHF 5 upgrade, purchased directly in the app settings.
